FEATURES
- Emulates the MDA
video board, outputting the video characters
written by the host PC as RS-232 serial data.
- Emulates the PC/AT
keyboard, accepting the user's keystrokes
via the RS-232 port and presenting them to the motherboard.
- Provides host PC
"hard" reset, either manually (under command
from the serial port), or automatically (via the PC Weasel's
onboard watchdog timer).
- Access to the last-written
ISA POST (Power On Self Test) byte
to aid the user in diagnosing a crashed system or dead
motherboard.
System
Requirements
- Available ISA
slot (8 or 16 bit)
- BIOS must permit
the use of an ISA MDA board as the primary
video device, and if necessary, any (VGA) video controller on
the motherboard must be disabled.
- Motherboard header
connector for connection to PC Weasel's
reset output.
