   FEATURES

  • Emulates the MDA video board, outputting the video characters
    written by the host PC as RS-232 serial data.

  • Emulates the PC/AT keyboard, accepting the user's keystrokes
    via the RS-232 port and presenting them to the motherboard.

  • Provides host PC "hard" reset, either manually (under command
    from the serial port), or automatically (via the PC Weasel's
    onboard watchdog timer).

  • Access to the last-written ISA POST (Power On Self Test) byte
    to aid the user in diagnosing a crashed system or dead
    motherboard.

 

   System Requirements

  • Available ISA slot (8 or 16 bit)

  • BIOS must permit the use of an ISA MDA board as the primary
    video device, and if necessary, any (VGA) video controller on
    the motherboard must be disabled.

  • Motherboard header connector for connection to PC Weasel's
    reset output.
